What are custom burn karaoke discs and downloads?


Karaoke CDGs (or CD+Gs) and karaoke DVDs – this allows you to create your own karaoke CD disc or karaoke DVD disc by choosing tracks from a huge database. You can put them in any order you like and add a personalised title. Once you have made your selections and paid for your disc online your disc will be burnt to your individual request and speedily despatched to you!

Getting Started With a Disc or Download

How do I start compiling my custom karaoke disc or download?

To start your custom disc or download all you need to do is scroll down on the left side of the screen to the blue box marked ‘My discs / downloads’ and click ‘Create a new disc or download’

How do I know what I have created so far and make changes?

The blue box marked ‘My discs / downloads’ will always be on the left side of the screen, this is your custom disc / download summary. This displays the type of disc or download, how many total minutes your selection of tracks currently adds up to and how much your disc is going to cost.
For full details click ‘View my play list’.
You can also alter the order in which the tracks appear.

How do I give my disc / download a title?

When you click ‘Create a new disc or download’ to create a brand new custom disc or download you will enter the title. If you change your mind you can change the title at any time before you make your purchase.

How much does each track cost?

Tracks only cost £2 each. This is the same regardless of the length of the track and this is the same for CDGs, DVDs and MP3+G downloads. All prices are shown in British pounds.

How many tracks fit on one disc?

The maximum length of minutes on one disc is 70 minutes. It is possible to fit as many as 20 tracks on to one disc. This is the same for CDGs and DVDs.

What is the minimum number of tracks I have to add to a disc?

The minimum number of tracks is 5. There is no minimum length of minutes. This is the same for CDGs and DVDs.

What is the minimum number of tracks I have to add to an MP3+G download?

The minimum number of tracks is 3. There are no maximum order guidelines.

How long are my MP3+Gs available for download?

You can download your MP3+G files for only 48 hours after the order is placed, so make sure you get them downloaded to your computer as soon as possible.

How do I download the tracks once I have paid?

To download your tracks simply login to the website, click the account button at the top of the screen, then click the current downloads button. Your tracks will be available for download instantly, but the links will expire after 48 hours, so please get them saved ASAP. Please make sure you keep a note of where you save the files, so they don't get lost on your computer.

Can I use a download manager to download my tracks?

Yes, however, not all download managers will work due to the security measures in place on the website.

DownThemAll has been tested and works very well saving you a lot of time.

If you wish to use a download manager please restrict the number of simultaneous downloads to 4 to preserve bandwidth for other website users.

How do I play my downloaded MP3+G tracks on my PC?

Any good karaoke software will play our MP3+G Downloads, if you don't have any karaoke software already on your computer please see our karaoke software page for software suitable for all users.

Can I create more than one disc or download at the same time?

Yes. If you want to create more discs or downloads as part of the same order simply click on the 'Create a new disc / download' link in the blue box on the left of the screen.

How do I purchase my custom disc or download?

Once you are completely happy with your track selection, the order of the tracks, disc titles and format selection, simply click the checkout link to complete your order and make your secure online card payment with your credit / debit card via PayPal.

Karaoke Formats

Which format do I want?

For custom made karaoke discs you can choose between DVD and CDG karaoke discs.

For downloads you can choose between MP3+G and MP4 files.

Used by professional KJs, this format will display graphics on a screen when used with a karaoke machine. A CDG karaoke disc will play the backing tracks in a normal CD player.

If you want to play the music and see the words on your TV but don't have a karaoke machine choose this format.

Used by professional KJs and singers alike. The download contains two files, a MP3 backing track and a graphics file. You can use karaoke software to play the track on your computer or create your own CDG karaoke disc.

If you want to use your iPod or iPhone to play karaoke tracks choose this format. It will also play on your computer using Media Player or similar software.

What bit rate is used to encode the MP3+G tracks?

Our MP3+G tracks are currently encoded at 128kbps, however, we are in the process of updating all our tracks to be available at 320kbps.

Due to the large number of tracks we have to process we expect to offer 320kbps exclusively from July/August 2011 onwards.

Unfortunately it won't be possible to offer 320kbps files on request during the upgrade process.


How much does delivery cost?

Delivery to the UK is only £1.50.
Delivery to other countries around the world is £5.
Delivery for downloads is free of charge.

Can I order more than one disc at a time to save on postage costs?

Yes, you can order multiple discs on the same order and only pay one postage charge.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders usually take 1-3 working days to arrive to UK addresses. Orders to European countries generally take less than 1 week and orders going to the USA take 1-2 weeks.

How many tracks are in the database?

We have over 60,000 tracks in our database from brands and the list is updated almost daily.

How do I search for tracks?

You can search for your favourite songs by Song Title or by Artist, using the search bar on the left hand side of the page or top of the page. You can also use our advanced search where you can also search by genre and track length.

Why is there more than one version of some tracks?

The different versions are just where different manufacturers have their tracks on the system, they are all in the same key and will all sound very similar. Just listen to the audio samples & select which one you prefer.

I can't find the track I want?

If you can't find the track you want then we probably don't have it available. You can put a request in using the contact us page, and we will try our best to get the song added.

What does Multiplex mean?

Multiplex means the track will have someone singing the main vocal as a guide, to help you learn the track. If you have a Player/Software that supports multiplex karaoke tracks you can turn the vocal on & off.

Do the tracks have faded endings?

Most of them do, but for definite endings please select Zoom tracks, they have the code ZM.

Do the tracks have backing vocals?

Yes, all of our karaoke tracks will have backing vocals where the original song has them.

Can I select to have a song in a different key?

Sorry, we can only supply tracks in the original key.

Will your custom karaoke discs show the lyrics on screen when played on my Karaoke player?

Yes, our discs will show on screen lyrics like a normal karaoke disc.

Returns and Refunds

Can I edit the disc once the order has been placed?

Sorry, once the order has been placed there is no way we can edit the disc. The discs get made and despatched automatically to increase delivery speed. Please check everything carefully before you place your order.

If I don't like it will I be able to just ask for a refund?

No. It is very important that you check your selections before you buy. Use the preview buttons before you decide to order tracks and make sure you know that your karaoke player or any other equipment is compatible if appropriate. Customised products cannot be altered, exchanged or refunded afterwards unless there is a technical fault with the item.

What do I do if my disc is damaged or faulty?

Very occasionally a disc may have a technical fault or be damaged in the post. Please let us know as soon as possible if your disc arrives damaged or if it is faulty. So that we can rectify the issue quickly remember to include your order number in your message and full details of the problem. We can then arrange a replacement or refund.

I'm getting an error using the website - what should I do?

Please copy and paste the error information from the page into an email to us.

I can't get my downloaded files to work/burn to disc, can you send me the tracks I downloaded on CDG/DVD?

Sorry, if you have chosen to download your tracks we can't send you the files on disc. We have to pay royalties every time we sell tracks, so if you want the same files on disc, you will have to pay for them. Please make sure you download the free sample track and check it works how you want it to before ordering.

Can I burn the MP3+G downloads to CDG disc to play on my karaoke machine?

If you are technically minded and have the correct software and hardware you will be able to do so.

We cannot provide technical support for this which is why we sell MP3+G downloads to be used on a PC.

If you are planning on burning your MP3+G downloads to CDG disc, we suggest you download our free sample track for testing before placing your order.

I just want a normal audio CD to play on a normal CD player, is this possible?

If you select the CDG option you will be able to play the disc in a normal CD player like a normal CD.
